📝 The Destiny Health Protein Ball Recipe

Ingredients

Ingredient

Quantity

Note

Plain Natural Protein Powder

1/2 cup (approx. 60g)

Must be unflavoured/plain, with no artificial colours or flavours.

Almond Flour (ground almonds)

1/2 cup

Adds healthy fats and moisture.

Dessicated Coconut

1/2 cup (plus extra for rolling)

Provides texture and a classic flavour.

Coconut Flour

1/4 cup

Highly absorbent, helps bind the balls.

Unsweetened Cocoa Powder

2 tablespoons

For that rich chocolate flavour.

Full Cream Milk Powder

2 tablespoons

Adds a creamy richness and extra protein.

Honey

1/4 cup (approx. 85g)

The main sweetener and binder.

Water or Milk

2-4 tablespoons

Needed to adjust the consistency.

Instructions

  1. Combine Dry Ingredients: In a large mixing bowl, combine the protein powder, almond flour, 1/2 cup dessicated coconut, coconut flour, cocoa powder, and milk powder. Use a whisk or spoon to mix well until everything is evenly combined and there are no lumps of cocoa powder.
  2. Add Honey: Pour in the honey. Mix thoroughly. The mixture will start to look crumbly and sticky.
  3. Adjust Consistency: Start by adding 2 tablespoons of water or milk. Mix well. If the mixture is still too dry to form a ball when squeezed (it should hold its shape without crumbling), add the remaining liquid, 1/2 tablespoon at a time, until the mixture is pliable and easy to roll. Tip: The final texture should be like slightly firm cookie dough.
  4. Roll the Balls: Take a heaped teaspoon of the mixture and roll it firmly between your palms to form a smooth, small ball (about 3-4 cm in diameter).
  5. Coat and Chill: Pour the extra dessicated coconut onto a small plate. Roll each protein ball in the coconut until fully coated.
  6. Store: Place the finished balls in an airtight container and store them in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes to firm up before serving

🍽️ Storage & Serving

  • Refrigeration: Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week.
